About Dr. Jonathan Rudin & San Diego Healthcare Compliance

Jonathan Rudin, DDS, MS, MPH
Dr. Jonathan Rudin established San Diego Healthcare Compliance in 2010. Prior to creating his safety compliance company, he worked in a wide variety of clinical and educational settings, including:
• San Ysidro Health Center’s and SDSU’s Project SOL (Study of Latinos)
• Southwestern Community College’s Dental Hygiene Program
• United Education Institute’s Dental Assisting Program
• Marine Corps Recruit Depot and 32nd Street Navy Base – civilian contractor for the US Navy
Dr. Rudin is passionate about providing healthcare practices with the most comprehensive training and support services possible. In addition to other topics, he covers:
• Both Federal and California OSHA regulations
• Dental Board of California’s Minimum Standards for Infection Control
• California Dental Practice Act
Dr. Rudin combines his enthusiasm for safety with his unique background and depth of experience as a clinician, epidemiologist, and educator. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Dr. Rudin’s education also includes:
• General practice residency – University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago
• MPH degree in Epidemiology – University of Minnesota
• MS degree in Health Informatics – University of Minnesota
Dr. Rudin’s last position before starting San Diego Healthcare Compliance was as a research dentist for the National Institutes of Health – Study of Latinos (Project SOL).
Dr. Rudin has been a featured speaker at:
• San Diego Dental Convention
• San Diego County Medical and Dental Societies
• San Diego Advanced Study Group (part of the Seattle Study Club network)
• Pala Mesa Study Group
• Dental Fest for North County Oral and Facial Surgery Centers
Dr. Rudin has been authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor as an OSHA Outreach Trainer in General Industry and selected to lecture on Bloodborne Pathogens for UCSD’s OSHA Institute. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).
Dr. Rudin is authorized by the Dental Board of California as a CE Provider to grant 2.0 Continuing Education credits for each of California Infection Control and the California Dental Practice Act.
